Lochness Monster/Bigfoot

I am a total dork. It is Saturday and instead of doing something exciting, I am watching a show on the discovery channel about the Lochness Monster. And I'm pretty sure that I was watching one last weekend on Bigfoot. I don't know if either of them exist, but I sure have seen a lot of shows and read quite a few things on each, growing up. I know that some if not all of you have seen the 80's flick "Harry and the Hendersons." If you haven't, go rent it, it is a great/funny flick.

I thought it would be fun to ask the select few who read my blog to chime in and give me their opinion. Does Nessie or Bigfoot exist? If they do, what sort of impact do you think it would have on society/science/faith? So, I will give my opinion and then would love to hear from all of my friends. I am not interested in discussing aliens, however. I will leave that for another blog post. Maybe for next week! (Yes, I know that the picture is a fake!)

I think that Nessie could definitely exist in Loch Ness today, although I do have several questions. Why have there never been any reports of Nessie attacking humans? I mean, if I were a swimming dinosaur of that size, I would love a nice big juicy American tourist as an afternoon snack. Also, why have there never been any remains of Nessie and her kind found? I think there would be no effect on society at large. Big discovery for science and would raise questions about the world, but I think that Nessie has no impact on the fact that Jesus died on the Cross. I would even like to think that if Jesus had come to Scotland, He would have given Nessie a pat on the head and fed it a fish.

As far as Bigfoot, I don't think that it exists. I think that Bigfoot is an elaborate hoax on the part of numerous people over the years. But you can decide for yourself. God Bless!

It Ain't Over 'til the Fat Lady Sings!

So there is no fat lady per say, but I am still waiting for her to sing. As most of you know because I called you, I found out yesterday that I was selected for the job. However, a committee in New York has to give the final authorization for me to be hired. They are also deciding whether I am a GS 12 or 13. And I have to get a pre-work physical. So pending all that I will have the job!

So quick prayer requests:
1. That everything would be finalized.
2. That they hire me as a GS 13.
3. I will find out soon when I get to start.

In a previous post I left out how far away the 'Noke is from Martinsburg. So I checked and it is a 3.15 hr trip according to google maps. God Bless!

Stay Away From Tuna!!!

About 3 weeks ago I went on a blind date. I took the girl out for a sushi lunch. All I am gonna say is that I enjoyed the sushi. So today I was talking with some people that I work with, whom I hadn't seen in a while, and they asked me about the blind date. While I was telling them this, one of the doctors that I work for told me to stay away from tuna because of the mercury levels. He said that mercury is a neurotoxin!

When I got home I decided to read up on the issue, because I love sushi. Granted these articles are from 2 weeks ago, I think they hold merit. The FDA is thinking of taking certain types of tuna entirely off the market. Here are the links for them:

In reading these articles many of my close friends came to mind. Any of you mother's that are breast feeding, and you preggos, any of you that eat canned tuna after working out (Johnny), any of you that eat canned tuna on a regular basis, and any of you that love to eat sushi... AVOID TUNA.

I know I don't blog as much as I should, but I thought this was a worthy cause! Love you all!
