Reporting Live from the Eye of the Storm!

This is chief meteorologist for Martinsburg, WV, reporting live from the eye of the severe thunderstorm. It is now 11pm on Monday, June 16th, and my house is being pound by the brunt of the storm. Weather.com reports the following:

"AT 1051 PM EDT...A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS REPORTED CAPABLE OF PRODUCING PENNY SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 9 MILES EAST OF BERKELEY TO 6 MILES SOUTHEAST OF VANVILLE...MOVING EAST AT 48 MPH."

While the hail is in fact the size of peas not not pennies (praise the Lord). The wind gusts are indeed blowing in excess of 60 mph. I fear that my new hammock may topple over and the pillow for it may have been carried away. Once the storm passes, I will venture outside to take a look at the possible damage.

I have sat through several severe thunderstorms, hurricanes, and Nor'easterns and even went slip 'n sliding down CISAT hill during a hurricane Isabel. But I dare not venture out into this squall. I fear that my house windows may shatter, due to the impact of the hail.

I will report more on storm as the details unfold. This is Dr. France signing off!

My House

Hey Gang,

Hope all is well! As you probably know updating my blog is at the bottom of my list. It is not that I don't love all of you who read my blog, I just have had alot of time to update with the move, unpacking, new job, and things of that nature. With that being said, here are two pics of the house I am currently renting and hope to buy.

Love you guys,
France
